Heya, my itinerary for our Japan trip in November is below and I’ve specified where I intend to use the luggage forwarding service.

Thursday 14th – TOKYO\
Friday 15th – TOKYO\
Saturday 16th -TOKYO\
Sunday 17th – TOKYO\
Monday 18th – TOKYO (forward luggage to Kyoto)\
Tuesday 19th – HAKONE\
Wednesday 20th – HAKONE\
Thursday 21st- KYOTO\
Friday 22nd – KYOTO\
Saturday 23rd- KYOTO\
Sunday 24th – KYOTO\
Monday 25th – KYOTO (forward luggage to Tokyo. Airport?)\
Tuesday 26th- OSAKA\
Wednesday 27th – OSAKA\
Thursday 28th- TOKYO\
Friday 29th- HOME\
So my questions:
1. Is it okay to specify a day to have the luggage delivered? For example, after we stay in Tokyo we are doing 2 nights in Hakone which we plan to just pack a small backpack each so we can send the luggage on to Kyoto a few days later.
2. We have another short stay in Osaka near the end of our trip and again, planning to just take a backpack with essentials so that we can forward our luggage back to Tokyo. Can we just send our luggage straight from Kyoto to Haneda airport on the day we fly home or to eliminate any risk is it safer to get it delivered to our hotel in Tokyo the day before we fly home on the 28th?
3. How far in advance do you need to book this service? Like 24 hours or 2 days?
It seems like a super convenient service to use as there are 5 of us travelling so we would rather not be carrying our luggage around if we can help it
