Hope you all enjoying your time in Japan.
Yesterday, I purchased a used car from my work and they invoiced me as below
Car cost + 10% tax / Recycling fee (untaxable) / Car tax (40909 JPY) + 10% tax
I am confused about car tax which is also taxed at 10%.
Is it annual car tax ? and if it’s then I checked on internet it’s around 43k JPY. Also, I am not supposed to pay it because in April I will get a new tax bill. It looks like I will be paying annual tax 2 times.
Please advise.
