Do I need seishain status to apply for naturalization?

I am currently working as a seishain in an international school in Tokyo. The work is really difficult and tiring and I want to leave. I found a new job but it’s a contractual job. I’m planning to apply for naturalization this year and I am worried that losing my seishain status will prevent me from becoming a Japanese citizen. Does it matter or not? I really want to leave this job but the seishain status is the only thing holding me back. Can anyone enlighten me? Thank you in advance!
