I am a dual citizen of Australia and Japan (I’ve just kept both passports, I know it’s not technically allowed in Japan). It just crossed my mind the other day that I live in Australia and work in Australia/have been paying tax in Australia, so I’ve never declared any income/savings or paid tax to Japan. Has anyone been in the same situation as me and do I need to do anything?
