I’m currently speaking to a company that’s currently fully remote but requires living in Japan. It’s for a pretty brutal industry and I’m expecting some long hours… Which is why I wanted to know- how often do you folks who live outside Tokyo core head there? Is the takeout food substantially harder to come by if I were to live about an hour from city core? I’m afraid I’ll be too tired to trek out on my day offs and just miss out on a huge part of the experience of living in Japan if there isn’t much to do. The office is in Minato, so I’m thinking of staying somewhere south/west of Tokyo core.
