I changed from a Highly Skilled Professional Type I visa to a Type II in December and am trying to understand what, if anything, needs to be done when changing jobs.
I am moving from a Board of Director role to a Sales Director role in another company, and while I know being Type II means I don’t have any ties to the exact company I do understand you need to be in a similar “business management” role.
Do I need to notify immigration after the change with a letter from the new Japanese-based employer? Or is that not necessary?
I’ve searched online and while it is clear you can move jobs and the Type II is essentially “permanent”, it doesn’t specify the process when changing.
Any help would be appreciated and hopefully this can be used for future enquiries of the same ilk.
