Shin-Okubo or Ueno for first time stay (6 nights)?

Which is better?

Both well connected and on yamanote line but unsure which is a ‘nicer’ area to be in?

Is Shin-Okubo a bad choice because it is a korean area so won’t actually give as much of a feel for japan?
