Study method advice.

I’ve been using a modified version of an RTK Anki deck and I’m quite happy following this method. However, out of the hundreds of kanji I have down, there’s a few that allude my memory. Should I take a break from taking on more kanji to just focus on reviewing, or should I continue and just pick them if and when they come. I know the second option would allow me to get further faster, but it feels like I would be missing out on getting the ones I know concrete.

  1. Aim for 80-90% accuracy and then keep moving forward. In the time it takes you to finally get 10 particularly difficult kanji down you probably could have learned 50 new ones. Also don’t forget that the RTK kanji mnemonics are only a stepping stone for you to eventually be able to read/write kanji without thinking of the mnemonic each time. The expectation is that you will eventually forget most of them again, so keep that in mind when you decide how much time to spend on it now.
