Going to Kyoto from Tokyo in April. Should I reserve seats on nozomi?

Looking at the timetable I’m unsure how much time I need to buffer from clearing customs at Narita airport and then grabbing a snack before taking the express to Tokyo station to catch the nozomi to Kyoto.. any tips? Thank you!
