Hello everyone! I’m reaching out to this community for some guidance on a decision we’re facing, which admittedly falls into the category of ‘first world problems’ 🙂
My husband and I are planning another trip to Japan, but this time it’s extra special because we’re bringing our children, ages 9 and 11, along for a two-week adventure. One of the highlights we’re considering is a visit to Universal Studios Japan, with a particular focus on exploring Super Mario World. However, we’re a bit stuck between two scheduling options due to various constraints:
* Spending half a day on May 5th and a full day on May 6th at the park
* Allocating only May 6th for a full day visit
While the pricing for a 1-day Studio Pass seems reasonable to us, the cost of the Express Passes has raised some eyebrows, especially considering their price is about double that of an adult ticket and triple that of a child’s ticket. Adding to our dilemma is the fact that a 1.5 day ticket puts us right at the end of Golden Week, which would made the 1.5-day Studio Pass quite pricey.
Given these circumstances, we’re trying to gauge:
* How crowded is the park likely to be during this time?
* What kind of wait times should we anticipate for the park’s major attractions?
* Is it more advisable to opt for 1.5 days at the park, or would a single day suffice?
* Considering the cost, do you believe the Express Passes are worth it? While we’re eager for a memorable experience, we also want to balance our budget to enjoy other aspects of Japan.
I greatly appreciate any insights or advice you can share. Thanks for taking the time to read my post and help us make this trip unforgettable for our family!
