Hi all! Well traveling with a tour group to Japan on Tuesday, first stop is Osaka and we’re just finding out we’ll have a day to ourselves. We already have tickets to Universal to later in the trip (we’re staying a few extra days after the group leaves) and we’re wondering what can we do with such a short notice. Here’s what we’re visiting as part of the tour, what are we missing? We have train passes for the week so we can also travel no nearby places.

Dotonbori,
Shinsekai district
In Kyoto we’re visiting:
Kinkakuji, Fushimi Inari-Taisha, Arashiyama, Gion and a visit to a deer park
