advice for moving to japan for freelance artist + japanese school

hi there! im (F21) a singaporean gonna be moving to japan for 2 years very soon to study a general japanese language course in tokyo after dropping out of college. im an artist, have done many commissions, art for events, my line of merchandise online and did boothing in events. ive been doing well and happy to be a freelance artist for the rest of my life.

just worried how that transition would be when i move to japan. of course i know i def wouldnt get an office job, wasnt planning to anyways with only a digital game art diploma. but i still hope to be still viewed as having some potential with meeting clients or having booths in japan too!

some extra information would be that im studying there with my boyfriend as well and we are planning to further our relationship (💍?) once he enters his masters in japan. i hope to see if we both enjoy staying in japan first before permanently possibly migrating there. he and i both studied japanese for the last few years, he is N3 currently and im N5, but we will be entering the language course for 2 years to study till N2/1 hopefully!

also!!! if anyone knows anything about forigners practising psychology / getting a job in that field after doing their masters in psychology in a japanese university? any good advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

just want to know people’s thoughts on my situation!
