I am traveling to Japan in about 1.5 weeks and wanted to get some input about my itinerary. I have some extra time at the end of day 4 since we cancelled our Street Kart reservation. Any suggestions you might have for the Akihabara/Taito City area are welcome.
I have been reading that Kyoto is blocking off private streets in April in Gion due to reckless tourists. I am hoping that we will still be able to explore some areas of Gion. If anyone has firsthand experience with this please let me know.
Lastly, we are hopeful that the Nintendo Museum in Uji, Kyoto will be finished by the time we get there. However, if that is still not open I will opt for another activity in Osaka, perhaps Osaka Castle or the whale sharks in the Osaka aquarium. However, I am open to any other ideas.
