Hi all. Question regarding JR be worth or not.
First of all, it is a 30 days in japan trip and we are staying 2 full days in Tokyo just to warm up. Them we are taking the Hakone pass for 2 days from Shinjuku to hakone area.
Them, the nightmare starts : taking the JR-21 OR NOT.
The itenerary will be from Hakone(Odawara) > Takayama > Kumomoto > Fukuoka > Hiroshima> Osaka\[Nara , Himeji and Kobe \] > Kyoto > Nagoya > Tokyo.
Those tickets are costing for me right now \~\~98k Yen(smart-ex) considering take some Nozomi. The JR being 100k Yen…. besides the 2k saving, is there any other point to be consider as a “go for the JR pass” ? Or should I buy the tickets alone?
Some points that are letting me going for individual ticket are : I can buy and reserve seats right now, don’t need to wait to reserve tickets only in Japan. And I can already get Nozomi when reserving the tickets for longer ranges.
The point in not be able to reserve ticjets and seats “rirgh now” is something that really makes me scare.
Secondly, What you guys think about that itinerary ? Any sugestions by the way?
Anyone has something to comment about it for helping me out to decide this ? Thanks !
