Itinerary check: 12 days (Tokyo, Nara, Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima, Miyajima, and maybe more)

Hi everyone!

My husband and I will be going for our honeymoon for 12 full days and super excited for it! It’ll be my 3rd time in Japan but by husbands first time there. I’m having trouble planning a trip that won’t be too crazy or too lazy lol. We’re pretty laid back people and like to travel at our own pace so I’ve tried to plan an itinerary that reflects that. Our aim is to try and see the fall colors but I’m afraid we might be too late. So far only the flight + Tokyo hotel is booked (we’re able make changes without penalty) but would love feedback on how we can best approach seeing the spectacular colors. We also decided to be in Tokyo the day before our flight due to it being at 6pm on our last day.

**A few questions/concerns:**

1. Is this itinerary too laid back?
2. I’ve tried to list things in order of where we’ll go but please let me know if the order doesn’t make sense.
3. We’re not afraid of a ton of walking but don’t want to walk ourselves to death!
