Hi there,
I’m visiting Japan and I have lost my wallet which had my credit cards, cash (sadly all of it) and suica card.
I have:
– gone to the police (filed a lost report)
– blocked my cards
– called my travel insurance
Passport is still with me.
Not sure what to do next as I will be needing to travel to other cities..
I’m here till the end of the month which isn’t enough time to send a replacement (is what I’m thinking), however, is there a place where you can buy a suica/passmo using paywave/contactless payment?
And train tickets?
Would like for some advice or help on what to do (I have read prior posts and I don’t think cash advances or contactless ATMs are a thing from what I’ve searched up), however, I only have my Google pay and I don’t think it will get me that far at all..

Edit: Tried to call the visa toll free line but no luck on getting a ring (non JP sim)

A few updates from today:
– Tried to retrace my steps and the store where I last saw it (no luck)
– Visited another koban nearby (no luck)
– Koban from last night; I gave them where I am staying and where I would be theoretically staying in for future accommodations if I do get funds to move keep travelling
– Have called for travel insurance
– Called emergency visa (card provider) toll services via hotel reception as my phone isn’t working. They will contact my bank to get some emergency funds and a replacement card (non contactless/paywave)
– Visited western union, currently no funds has come through or is in progress that a relative has sent. | Western union payment went through and managed to get some cash 🙂 can’t thank everyone enough
Learnings:
Having a virtual card (credit/debit/suica) is super helpful
And separating cash and your cards is important. Don’t have all eggs in one basket..
