So a very loud siren and bell noise has been happening for the last 5 ISH minutes. Seems to have stopped now. I’m just wondering if anyone knows what this is?
if you are in a suburb type area, it might be a siren for the volunteer/community fire station. The one in our area goes off randomly and people will run to the ‘fire station’. They have to do a drill once a year so they likely choose a time when everyone could do the drill.
The idea is that if there is a disaster, this is where the local community head will meet to start rescue efforts.
Was it raining? Could be a flood stage warning on a river if not the things others have mentioned.
