Hi, we are finally coming to Okinawa! Our honeymoon was in Japan and the most fun we had was a tiny Okinawan bar in a apartment block in Tokyo eating bitter melon with people dancing to a 3 string guitar (drinking was involved). We vowed to get to Okinawa one day.
We love to try food and we would love any recommendations at all. We are staying in Naha for a few days and then a homestay on Zamami island for a few days.
We have done some research, taco rice, soba, tempura, doughnuts (I forget the name), sea grapes, Awamori. We would love to find some equally interesting and (not too touristy) locations than led us to Okinawa in the first place. Any help, gratefully appreciated.
