it appears that learner can get “past N1” in their level, and then read books made for kids and still find new words. i was reading the カービィ小説 series and found a few new words per chapter (one example, うってつけ) and in マリオ&ルイージRPG3 i found words like 急遽 (きゅうきょ). i think the grammar constructions stay simple but as for new vocabulary it can be a toss up no matter the book/manga/game level. what’s been your experience?
