Planning to take digital nomad visa – a few questions for you all please.
I’m visiting now and I’ll return to US before applying for the visa. Been studying Japanese a couple years so can have a basic friendly conversation. Has anyone found 6 month rentals to foreigners yet? I know it’s hard to rent here as gaijin but hopefully this visa works out to make it easier. Any leads?
People in Tokyo dress very well, classy and seem to all be rich which I’m sure it isn’t the case. I work remote and mostly wear sweats which won’t cut it here. How do people in Tokyo afford Chanel, Loewe, LV, Undercover, Celine, Gucci etc and pay rent? Is everyone making crazy money here and spending it on clothes, shoes and bags? Are these replicas I am seeing daily? Something doesn’t add up! I need to upgrade my wardrobe but wow it’s gonna be pricey. I have a couple nice things I mix with basics but I don’t want to look like a mess and low class. Thanks
