So I did an exchange semester back in 2017 and opened a JP Post Bank account. I never closed it. This year I’m moving to Japan to continue my studies and would need a JP Post Bank account.
Is my account still active now? I don’t know how to check it from overseas, I have checked their website but couldn’t find the information.
But my passbook is missing, I only have the cash card. Assuming it’s still active, can I get new passbook from the bank? Do I need to update my new address & phone number?
If it is inactive, I assume it would be easier to open a new account then rather than re-open the old account.
