Financial statement questions for Student Visa

I have read that one needs to have 2 million yen in sponsor’s bank account for a student visa.
Now here’s the thing, my sponsor has 1.24 million yen equivalent in their bank account. But they also have around 2.4 million yen equivalent in another bank in an FDR and a little amount(around 600k yen) in domestic stock market.
The question is: Should I keep them as it is? Or liquify them in their bank account?
