How to convince my Japanese tutors to change the format of our classes?

Hello everyone. I’ve been studying Japanese for almost 2 years now with a group tutor and I feel like our pace is too slow. Untill now, we still haven’t managed to study N5 grammar fully, even though we passed the JLPT N5 test. We are studying with a book called # ht&O D*a= and we have covered a bit more than the half of the book. We also study with & 5 b B#= and we just finished the N5 one. Even though ee are far behind gramatically, we are about to finish N4 Kanji.
I’m trying to write down N4 Kanji in 5-6 sentences, but there’s just no way for me to remember it. We are using the most popular Kanji book, and it’s really ineffective since it has a mixture of random words that are even from N2 and there’s no way for me to remember them like that. Does anyone know any better way to learn Kanji and to practice it Like Minna no nihongo book? Or does anyone have a suggestion on how can I study Japanese better and faster if I work part time and study full time in a university…
