Naito vs. Sanada and Naito vs. Moxley will have already happened by then, so those are out of the picture. They might need to run Naito vs. an R3M or EVIL or something and focus on beefing up the card with draw acts elsewhere.
Think we can safely assume Jungle Boy, Dolph Ziggler, and Mustafa Ali will be involved (if Ali hasn’t signed somewhere by then), but none of them really strike me as filling the main event role vs. Naito. Him and Ziggler would probably be a banger but I’m not sure it sells to NJPW fans.
My almost entirely baseless but still glimmer of hope speculation is the Young Bucks will return to NJPW for a night. They live in the Rancho Cucamonga area which is like 5 minutes from the venue. It’s really too bad TJP and Akira split because that would be the match to make (TJP is from near that area as well).
