Itinerary Check – 1 Month in Japan (Mar-Apr)

Hi folks!

I’ll be in Japan from 18/3 – 16/4, and will be travelling from Hiroshima to Tokyo, making multiple stops along the way. This is my second trip to Japan, so I’ll be mostly visiting places I’ve never been to. This will also be a solo trip until my last week, where I’ll be spending a few days with a friend in Tokyo.

My itinerary for most of the trip is sorted, but there’s two locations I’d like some advice for.  I won’t include every location I’m visiting because there’s too many.

**KYOTO**

**Mon 25/3**: Will be arriving in Kyoto from Koyasan in the afternoon, heading to Fushimi Inari

**Tues 26/3**: Sanjusangendo, Kenninji, Kodaiji, Kiyomizudera

**Wed 27/3**: Nijo Castle, Seimei Shrine, Kitano Odori at Kamishichiken Kabukai, Nijo Castle Sakura Festival

**Thurs 28/3**: Imperial Palace, Katsura Villa

**Fri 29/3**: Uji daytrip

**Sat 30/3**: Kurama-Kibune daytrip, Kyoto Manga Museum

**Sun 31/3**: Ginkakuji, Philosopher’s Path, Nanzenji, Hanezu Odori at Zuishin-in

**Advice Needed**: Do my itineraries for Wednesday and Sunday seem manageable? There’s a few events I discovered recently that I wanted to squeeze in, such as the Hanezu Odori and Nijo Castle Sakura Festival.

**NAGOYA**

**Thurs 4/4**: Atsuta Shrine, Arimatsu, Osu Kannon & Shopping Arcade

**Fri 5/4**: Museum Meiji Mura, Sakae

**Advice Needed**: Contemplating on whether Meiji Mura is worth the visit. I’m a big history buff wanting to do research on the Meiji Era, but not only is it a bit far, I have to dedicate most of my day to it. My alternative itinerary would look like:

**Thurs 4/4**: Atsuta Shrine, Arimatsu, Sakae

**Fri 5/4**: Osu Kannon and Shopping Arcade, Nabana no Sato Night Illuminations

Any opinions, advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
