My previous contractor used to send me US dollars through Wise, and I received them in Japanese yen in my Shinsei bank account.
I will start with a new contractor who will send me Euros directly as a bank transfer. I would like to take this opportunity to switch from Shinsei Bank to Sony Bank.

Do I have to add this information (J.P. MORGAN SE; SWIFT BIC: CHASDEFX) either to receive in Euros or to have the funds converted into Japanese yen?
In fact, I would like to do a little bit of both: sometimes keeping the funds in Euros (for travel) and sometimes converting them into Japanese yen for living expenses.
