Given the relatively high ticket price, crowds, and opportunity cost, did you feel like TeamLab was worth it?
I’ve been to Tokyo a few times and this kept falling off the itinerary since the Odaiba site was kind of far away. Now I’m going back for what might be the last time in a while, and the Borderless exhibit is open in a much more central part of the city. I’m torn between old favorites, low key exploring new (to me) neighborhoods, and the big names such as Teamlab that I haven’t gotten around to. I love galleries and art museums, both modern and traditional. If I don’t go to Teamlab, I’ll likely explore the photography museum and other galleries in Ebisu.
What’s been your experience with Teamlab? Iconic, or overhyped?
EDIT: Thanks everyone for your replies! Hope this helps other folks who are trip planning.
