Horseback Riding Lessons in Tokyo

Hi all! Please let me know if there’s a better place to post this or if this is okay, but I’m looking for some advice/information on horseback riding lessons in Tokyo.

I live closest to Shibuya and I’ve been here for a few months now, planning on staying for another year or so. I’ve always loved horseback riding and have been wanting to take serious lessons here if possible. I’ve looked up some equestrian schools and they do exist in Tokyo but I have two problems which led me to post here.

1) I would likely have to take lessons in English. I’m by no means fluent in Japanese (I’d say I’m around N4 or N3 level to be honest) and not at all fluent in Japanese horseback riding terminology, so I’m not sure if it’s at all feasible for me to find a place in Tokyo that allows foreigners/native English speakers.
2) Even if I were fluent, equestrian clubs seem rather exclusive here so I’m not sure if they’d even be willing to accept foreigners.

Money and time aren’t too much of a problem! I’m willing to commute for over an hour and pay whatever I need to. This is a somewhat niche category, so if anyone has any information at all please let me know 🙂

Edit: I did find English lessons available at a club, but it’s 3.5 hours away 😅 Still would love to hear any suggestions or personal experiences 🙂
