Still waiting on Interac, but job offers from HEART Corporation and Wishborn English Academy

Hi all, long time lurker but first time poster.

I’m an Aussie who’s looking to start their career in Japan. I’ve worked in IT for 4 years and was just made redundant by my company a month ago – so I said to myself; let’s start anew in Japan and see how I go.

I’ve applied to a many companies via GaijinPot and got some leads back – however here’s my defined list of companies I’ve gotten word back from:

AEON: after the 2nd interview, i froze up because their materials are quite obscure and don’t really have any instructions to the instructor themselves. I was then turned down a position

Interac: 2nd Interview went well, but still waiting a month after to see if there was any positions. No contract issued as of yet (ofc). Expected salary Y250,000/M

Wishborn English Academy: 1st and 2nd interview within a week, with a contract ready to go in my hands with all stipulations. Located in Kii-Tanabe in Wakayama (a little far from where I want to be in Osaka, but a good start?). Salary: Y250,000/month, typical deductions (Apartment sorted, etc.)

Heart Corporation: 1st interview went well, basic English comprehension and issued a document outlining processes and procedures. A little wary because there is no information on salary expectations and holiday work procedures. Have sent an email trying to clarify both these situations.

My last option is study 2 years and see how that goes.

Looking for any and all opinions that are positive and negative from each of the schools within post covid timeline. I’ve got enough money saved up to pay for tuition and whatnot, it’s more of trying to (re)start a life and career in Japan.

TIA!

Edit: putting salary information as known or at least identified in documentation.

Edit2: found this gem as i was googling: [https://heartcorporationexposed.wordpress.com](https://heartcorporationexposed.wordpress.com). Probably going to stay away from them…

Edit3: I emailed interac and they said they should have a yes/no answer by the end of the day (fingers crossed)

Edit4: Interac have finally sent me the email! Aug 2024, gives me enough time to tie in loose ends and figure life out. At this stage it’s wishborn vs interac (250 vs 200(?)). Any thoughts?

Final edit: Wrote back to interac accepting their offer!
