My partner and I are heading to Japan for a few weeks on holiday. We will mostly be around tokyo/shinjuku but will also be visiting Hiroshima and Kobe.
How accepting are the Japanese of same sex couples?
Generally we pass as 2 straight early 30’s Australian guys, but there are times where it’s obvious that we’re a couple. We don’t do full on PDA’s and that but we’re not the kind to shy away from touching/a kiss here or there or saying couple stuff to each other in public or whatever.
Also what’s the gay pub/clubbing scene like around Tokyo? We’re the kind who aren’t shy about getting out shirts off and having a dance when we go out.
