No more buses from shirakawa-go to kanazawa?

Party of 3 currently on bus to shirakawa-go from kanazawa but when trying to book the afternoon leg back to kanazawa, there’s nothing left. Are we stuck here or are there non reserved buses? Are there other options like taxis to get back?
