I saw online lessons for Japanese priced at ¥3630. I’ve been teaching English for 30 years but I only get ¥2500 tops and often only 2000 or 1500 even. I still have an occasional doctor pay me ¥10,000 to correct a paper. Nevertheless, teaching Japanese seems to command a higher price. What’s the deal?
