In the winter, I reliably find myself waking up every few hours even when I don’t have to pee.
I wonder if this is because me and the wife turn off the kerosene heaters at night and rely on our bedding and electric blankets (and each other) for warmth as the room gradually falls towards the freezing point.
Should I bite the bullet and get a small ceramic heater just to keep the temperature in the room more consistent and a few degrees higher?
Or might there by some other cause?
I should point out that its so cold in our house at night that it destroyed my wife’s Macbook’s battery…twice.
In the summer, my sleep quality suffers for other reasons (heat and early sunlight).
Edit: I bought a cheap used oil heater. It was so effective that it actually made the room a bit too hot at first, on low. It kept the room a reasonable temperature all night long. I think I will set it to turn on and off every thirty minutes to make the room cooler. I still woke up too much.
