I’ve heard mixed things on Kyoto, some people say its their favorite spot in Japan, while others will say it’s a nightmare of overcrowding and over-tourism.
I’m taking a 10 day Japan trip later this year, and thinking of doing a 6 day Tokyo, 4 day Osaka split. Is Kyoto worth it as a day trip from Osaka? Or is it only worth it if you actually stay there several days, so that you can avoid crowds easier by going in the morning? I’m still debating, would love some opinions.
