Long story short my child goes to a hoikuen thats about 25 minutes from my house. We initially joined this hoikuen because we were stuck on a waiting list and I really needed to return to work.
There is a large much nicer looking hoikuen about 2 minutes from my house and it would be extremely convenient to change as we both work from home often, I assume now that he is going into the 3 year old class that there would be spaces available, does anyone have experience with asking to change hoikuens in Japan? Is that even possible?
