How to communicate my gluten allergy?

I have celiac disease. What’s the best way to ask whether a dish is safe for me to eat?

So far, I’ve been using 小麦アレルギーがあります but it leaves out other gluten sources, like barley. 小麦 is just wheat and not gluten in general.

Any fellow celiacs have advice?
