I get into Tokyo on Friday, April 19 around 3 p.m. I head to Osaka on Monday, April 22. I was told by my hotel that I should send my luggage no later than Saturday night, April 20 to have it arrive in Osaka on Monday, April 22.
I don’t want to get on the train with my big suitcase (just my small carry on and backpack) so I plan on transferring my luggage from the Narita airport. My question is:
Should I transfer it to my Tokyo hotel (does anybody know how fast it can arrive to my hotel if I give it to the transfer company around 4 p.m. after customs)? Then once I get it (hopefully by the next day), I can just organize what I want to keep on me and then send it to Osaka.
Or should I send it from Narita to Osaka right away and skip Tokyo since I’ll only have the luggage for a few hours on Saturday before I have to ship it anyways?
I can definitely live off my carry on for the 3-4 days until I get to Osaka. I’m just more concerned if I did some small shopping in Tokyo if I’ll have room in my carry on.
