Unaccompanied articles in separate shipments.

Hello, I am moving to Tokyo for a few years for university. From what I could find, just sending my belongings to myself by post as unaccompanied articles seems to be the cheapest option for what I want and need to send (various random belongings and electronics).

As I understand it, to avoid duties, this should be fine as long as I clearly mark it as “unaccompanied baggage” ([https://www.customs.go.jp/english/c-answer\_e/keitaibetsuso/7102\_e.htm](https://www.customs.go.jp/english/c-answer_e/keitaibetsuso/7102_e.htm)). Do I just write this on the box next to the label?

Secondly, I am not able to send my belongings as a single shipment, but instead would be sending it as multiple individual packages. Would this work with customs (specifically, avoiding duties)?

Finally, but related to my previous question: ideally I’d like to send (or rather, have my family send on my behalf) a second batch of boxes a few months later (so within the 6 months limit). Can this work, or is this problematic? Since I’ll have already mailed or submitted the certified copy of the declaration when receiving the earlier items, if I understand the process correctly.
