Someone has put my address on, seemingly ALL of their paperwork and documents. The address is mine but that name is not. It isn’t even remotely close to it other than it is a foreigner’s name. Last week I received a couple of pieces. Same address, the same odd name. I didn’t think much of it. But now, I have a huge stack! I also had a mailman come to my door this evening and ask if someone lives here by that name, do I know anyone by that name, etc.
Short of calling the post office, I’m not sure what to do. (I’m at a conversational level Japanese and in no way equipped to call myself.) In the States, I would usually write “return to sender” on the envelope and drop it off in a mailbox. Should I do the same thing here? Please advise.
