I’m planning a trip to Japan and will probably have one day for shopping in Tokyo. I’ve heard Ginza recommended a lot, but to my understanding it’s more geared for international and luxury brands.
The shopping I’m interested in is more the kind of conservative and very feminine style that’s unique to Japan, which doesn’t seem to be available in America in many places: long skirts, interesting fabrics and cuts, botanical patterns and the like. Is Ginza still a good destination, or are there better areas to visit? I’d be looking for mid-market-to-high price points; I’d like to buy quality pieces that will last.
