I’m 27F whos going to be going on my trip to Tokyo in a few days from late March until early April. This will be my first time travelling to Tokyo as well as doing a full solo trip. I never made an itinerary before so some useful tips would be helpful.
Day 0 travelling from London to Tokyo
Day 1 Tokyo – Akihabara and Ueno
– exploring the different anime and gaming stores
– visiting some maid cafe
– check out Ueno park
– evening meet up with others for Golden Gai?
Day 2 Tokyo – Harajuku, Shibuya and Shinjuku?
– explore clothing and makeup stores at Takeshita Street
– street snacks (crepes and stuff)
– Meiji Jingu shrine? and Yoyogi Park
– Don quijote
– evening Meguro River Cherry Blossoms festival and Omoide Yokocho?
Day 3 – Travelling to Izu
– check out tokyo station?
– look around Mishima
– explore around izu
– try local onsen nearby hotel?
– chill in traditional ryokan
Day 4 – Travelling to Hakone
– explore around the Hakone area
– try some local snacks
– go to yunessun onsen theme park
– try another onsen
– chill at ryokan
Day 5 – travel to Yokohama/Tokyo
– cup noodles museum
– Shin-Yokohama ramen museum?
– go to another onsen (Yokohama Manyo Club or Gokurakuyu Yokohama Serigaya)?
– evening/night free
Day 6 Tokyo – Asakusa
– rent kimono
– visit senso-ji shrine
– eat food stall snacks
– tokyo skytree kirby Cafe
– evening/night free
Day 7 Tokyo – Urayasu
– Tokyo Disneyland
– evening Oedo Onsen Monogatari Urayasu Mangekyo
Day 8 Tokyo
– free day
– could use time to go pick up any last things i wanted before leaving
Day 9 – heading to the airport
Throughout this trip i will be eating from ramen, sushi and curry resturants as well as trying a few other things. I will also be spending this trip shopping at Don Quijote, Daiso and Loft. Day 1-2 and 6-9 im staying in hostels while day 3-4 i will be staying in a ryokan (though day 4 it will be a capsule room).
The only day i haven’t sorted out accomodation for is for day 5 since im not sure if i want to stay in Yokohama or Tokyo for it. I would like to go to Ikebukuro but im not sure where to squeeze it in. Do you think this itinerary is possible to do or should i cut back on some of the things i am doing?
