To a teacher in Tokyo: If you were recently (within the last few days) pressured into resigning, you may want to explore your options to have it reversed.

This is a throwaway account. Hopefully, the person I’m addressing belongs to this subreddit.

To a specific teacher working for a small independently-owned dispatch company that places teachers (non-ALT) in private schools in the Tokyo area…In the last few days, if you were pressured to resign and you gave into that pressure, you might want to reconsider your decision and make a visit to the labor bureau or houterasu (法テラス) to consult about your situation. You were most likely coerced into resigning rather than persuaded. If so, your “resignation” might be considered invalid and you may still be entitled to your employment, or at least to be paid out for the duration of your contract.
