Last Year’s Sakura at Chidori-ga Fuchi

I shot this last year of [my favourite easy-to-do hanami route](https://youtu.be/qUZknG15LbA) but only got around to putting it online now – excuse the gratuitous click-bait title.

It shows scenes from the circular walk around Chidori-ga Fuchi in sequence – starting at Kudanshita Station, then clockwise around the moat – Tayasu-mon Gate, Budokan, up along the ramparts to the Museum of Modern Art, then along the freeway at the South end and back up along the West side past the boat house and under the best trees. There’s a map in the first few seconds of the video for anyone unfamiliar with the route.

I did the walk from Hanzomon Station up the West side to Kudanshita today, and could only find one tree putting out. ONE!

Edit: I was curious to see some fairly heavy-duty tree-felling on the East (inner) side; anyone know anything about that?
