migeru’s party series “GOODNIGHT” will celebrate its 28th edition at Shin-Okubo bacon on March 29th (Friday). This time, under the concept of “nerdclub edition,” the event aims to further strengthen the connection between otaku culture and club culture. Special guests include Redeadica, an American illustrator/DJ making their second appearance at “GOODNIGHT,” Telematic Visions making a comeback after nearly a year of hiatus, Mahziel interpreting anime music with a base in future bass, ღDJ魔女っ娘ミラクるんღ, known for their strong support as NXC Anonymous, and elq, expressing love for internet music in a straightforward manner, making their debut appearance. Residents NordOst and migeru will DJ, while emiku will handle VJ duties alongside American visual artist Jasonofthestorm. Illustrator kikkomoon, responsible for this edition’s flyer illustration, will also take on live painting on the day of the event, adding vibrancy to the colorful soundscape. The “Web Aesthetic” values that swiftly entered the electronic music realm since the birth of Vaporwave are believed to have experienced rapid development due to perspectives from outside Japan. This event promises to redefine domestic Japanese nerd culture from an external viewpoint for one night.
No one in my friends circle wants to do hanami or is available to do it. Anybody up for a picnic in a park? We can have a potluck, each bring a blanket and some drinks (alcoholic or non is fine), and finally welcome spring when the blossoms decide to pop open!!
