So, I got a job a couple of weeks ago and I’m supposed to start mid-April. Unfortunately for me, the gathering of materials took a while from the company side so I was only able to drop off my application this past Friday.
The trouble is, they said it’ll take about 25 days to process…and my job starts in 24 days (from when I submitted the documents)… In addition to moving to a different pref and pressure from above to fix this issue, it’s not a fun time right now.
I’m going to be contacting immigration to see what can be done since everything is so close together timewise.
Has anyone else had the same unfortunate experience? Any advice or tips?
I 100% don’t expect immigration to treat me as a special case and I was actively bugging my higher-ups about the timing so this wouldn’t happen. 😅 But unfortunately I’m in this mess now.
