US Taxes, Form 8858, TY 2022 onward

This is more of an FYI/PSA for US folks. The addition of “Foreign Branches” (FBs) to the 8858 for tax year 2022 means that it applies to pretty much anyone that had income for freelance work outside of the US. This [webinar](https://www.taxesforexpats.com/articles/news/webinar-sole-proprietors-rental-income-recipients-may-have-more-filing-requirements-in-2023.html) has some example situations and shows that “FB/QBU” is a pretty broad category.

The FYI/PSA is that if you’re using Taxes for Expats and didn’t know about this, it’s an additional US$300 (reduced from $600 previously) just for this form on top of whatever package you got. Seems excessive especially for small side gigs. 💸 </rant> (Any suggestions for “US taxes for expats” services that don’t charge so much welcomed!)
