I’m moving back to the US in the next couple of months, and other than the usual things to do like canceling my lease and utilities and having mail forwarded to my new address, I was curious if there are any only-in-Japan kind of things you have to do when moving that might trip me up when it’s time for me to leave. I checked the wiki pages as well as the moving to Japan sub, and I couldn’t see anything on either about departure.
