I have made many Japanese friends and interacted with many of them but I always find myself struggling whenever I refer to myself. I could use 僕 (Boku) or 俺 (Ore) to refer to myself as it is the masculine pronouns but I don’t want to use something masculine for myself when I act and behave differently from the average guy. (I’m not gay.) My next other alternative is 私 (Watashi) as that’s standard for beginners but it also does sound weird if I use it in a casual conversation. I have no Japanese friends who are part of the LGBTQIA+ group so I have no idea how they refer to themselves too. How do I refer to myself if I want to show I’m a feminine boy (femboy)?
