Travelling to Japan in May and looking for a place to stay near Mt. Fuji to round out our trip! Ideally somewhere a bit less touristy with easy access to nature (walking, biking, hiking). Have heard good things about Lake Yamanaka (the 14k bike trail looks beautiful), but wondering if it is a bit too remote for Japan first-timers. Any recommendations around where to stay near Mt. Fuji and whether Airbnb, Hotel, or “glamping” arrangements are best? Appreciate it!
