unsure about how to phraze this

Can anyone help me with this very random thought.

I was laying on my friends lap while their legs were crossed, but i wanted them to cros the other leg on top because that was more comfortable. So how would one say, can you cross the other leg? Or would i perhaps use a more simple verb like to switch or?
